"Torres del Paine is one of the world's most beautiful National Parks. It is a wonderful location where mountains and glaciers, wetlands, forests and steppes come together to shelter a fabulous diversity of birds, many of which are restricted exclusively to these latitudes. In the native southern beech forests we will seek the huge Magellanic woodpecker, white-throated treerunner and parties of noisy Austral parakeets, the southernmost representative of the parrot family. With much luck, we might even find the recently rediscovered and elusive Austral rail. "
